Silent Drums received its name after prayer and a vision from God.  The name speaks of all the First Nations Tribes who's drums have fallen silent due to extinction, assimilation, and or oppression.  Silence or the absence of sound can be deafening and is heard by God. 

The main purpose of Silent Drums  is to Glorify our Living King Jesus Christ and the Father who sent Him and help those who point the way to His throne.  We support ministries that are redeeming back and protecting our cultural differences.  If God made us in His image why did He make us so different?  We believe that in each people group He put a different and unique flavor of His personality.   Thus to see God in His fullness we believe we must come together in unity accepting each other as God created us to be.  For too many years the church has built an image unto itself.  others would have us appear as them giving up our God given cultural expressions of worship, dress, dance, and arts.   We want to see what the Father is doing and do it as our brother Jesus did.  

Jesus was not an English speaking white man but rather a Jewish  man with a tribal affiliation and one of His names was that  of an animal, ' the Lion of the tribe of Judah.'  Jesus who was a Jew died for all tribes and tongues.  Jesus wore tribal clothing spoke His tribal language and ministered in the context of His culture.

The Mission of Silent Drums is to build relationships in First Nations Communities around the world, help to network existing contextual ministries, and educate all people groups on cultural issues so we can be a catalyst for change, as well as provide a team of First Nations people to travel, educate and participate in reconciliation and restoration cross culturally.   Our primary goal is to advance or establish the kingdom of God on this earth

We use dancing, drumming, singing and other indigenous instruments and crafts as well as modern media and arts.  The modern media and arts include video, audio, DVD, web sites, computers, and photographic technologies for presentation, information, and archival purposes.  We also use modern musical instruments to augment or songs.

We provide spiritual guidance and counseling as an equally important part of our services.
